Crop an image

Cut a photo or image down to the part you want to keep: your files stay on your device, nothing is uploaded, and it is free with no account.

Drop an image here

One JPG, PNG or WebP image up to 80 MB.

Starting UFO Web…

The work happens in this tab. Nothing is uploaded.

How it works

  1. Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image, or drop it on this page. A photo the camera saved sideways is shown upright.

  2. Drag the box or its corners, pick a shape such as 1:1 or 16:9, or type the exact size in pixels.

  3. Download the cropped copy. It keeps the format of the original, and your original is not changed.

Questions

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. The work happens inside this browser tab, so your images never leave your device and no server sees them. Closing the tab clears them from memory.

Does cropping lower the quality?

Barely. The part you keep is not resized. PNG copies stay lossless, and JPG and WebP copies are saved again at 92% quality, which is hard to see. Location and camera details are left out of the copy.

What are the limits?

One image at a time, up to 80 MB. Images up to 50 million pixels are cropped at full size; larger photos are opened a little smaller first, and the result says so. Animated PNG and WebP files are not cropped, because only their first frame would be kept.

The same file engine is in the UFO apps for Android and Windows.
