Questions
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. The work happens inside this browser tab, so your images never leave your device and no server sees them. Closing the tab clears them from memory.
Will every image get smaller?
Most photos get much smaller at 70% quality. An image that is already small or heavily compressed can grow; the result then tells you to keep the original. The width and height stay the same.
What about transparency, details and limits?
WebP keeps transparent areas; JPG fills them with white. Location and camera details are left out of every copy. Images can be up to 80 MB and 50 million pixels each.
